After years of black-tie fundraising events, we’re taking Time is Precious back to its grassroots - bringing together families, local businesses, schools and supporters for an afternoon that celebrates life while supporting an incredibly important cause.

Time is Precious was founded in 2019 in memory of Robin “Rob” Bosch, who lost his life from bowel cancer at just 50 years old. His motto was simple: Time is Precious.

Since then, we’ve raised more than $250,000 for Bowel Cancer Australia, while advocating for greater awareness of early-onset bowel cancer and the importance of early detection.

Bowel cancer is the #1 cancer killer of Australians aged 25–44. We want more people talking about it, understanding the symptoms and knowing that early detection can save lives.

FAQs

  • Yes. Everyone attending needs a ticket, including children. Under 3 are free, you just need to book! Our wonderful volunteers will scan tickets upon entry, so please have your tickets ready. 

    Time is Precious and Wahroonga Rugby Club reserve the right to refuse entry or evict any person displaying antisocial behavior.

  • Yes, however online tickets are encouraged to help with event planning.

  • We’re sorry you aren’t able to attend but unfortunately we have a strictly no refunds policy. Your funds are still a part of our contribution to Bowel Cancer Australia. 

  • Yes! We encourage you to bring a picnic rug, low chairs and anything you need to make yourselves comfortable on the oval.

  • Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must remain on a short leash at all times. Owners are legally responsible for cleaning up after their pets. 

  • There is a small car park at the oval, however spots are limited.  There is ample street parking in Wahroonga near the oval, so we recommend you park here and walk down.   Please note it can get quite busy and you may need to park 5-10 minute walk away. 

  • We want everyone to be able to enjoy the day. There is a ramp to the oval and the oval is flat.   Unfortunately the upstairs of the rugby club is not wheelchair accessible.  There is an accessible toilet downstairs. 

  • The Fair is an all-weather event and will go ahead in light rain, with some limitations to some of the activities. In the event of severe, unsafe weather, updates regarding cancellation or postponement will be posted on our official social media pages.  Should the event proceed with poor weather, the event will held undercover in the rugby club with limited/reduced events.
    Keep an eye on our social media channels for any weather-related updates.

  • We're bringing together a great mix of food and drinks, including Gozleme, Chips on a Stick, Dumplings, Fairy Floss, BBQ (sausage sandwiches etc) and Canteen, Ice cream and Coffee, with more to come!

  • Yes. You are welcome to pack a picnic, though we encourage supporting our local food stalls and fundraising BBQ. Proceeds from our food vendors are donated to Time is Precious supporting Bowel Cancer Australia.

  • Yes! Adults can enjoy a drink while listening to the live music and soaking up the atmosphere.  Alcoholic beverages can be found upstairs at the Rugby Club Bar and must be consumed inside the licensed area only (upstairs and on the balcony). 

  • Yes! We love working with local businesses and community organisations. If you'd like to support the Spring Fair through sponsorship, a market stall, donation or another idea, please get in touch.
